A little bit about me…

• Born and raised in Pretoria.
• Completed my undergraduate dental qualification at the University of Witwatersrand in 2005 and then went on to complete my community service in Cullinan, Pretoria.
• Worked for a further 3 years at the MEDUNSA Oral Health Centre, in the department of Maxillo Facial and Oral surgery.
• Admitted to specialize in Maxillo Facial and Oral Surgery at the University of the Western Cape in 2011.
• Graduated cum laude in April 2016 (MChD) from the University of the Western Cape.
• Also attained the Fellowship of the College of Maxillo Facial and Oral Surgeons, FCMFOS(SA), that same year.
• Spent 3 years as a full-time consultant at Tygerberg and Groote Schuur Academic hospitals before embarking on full-time private practice.

Main areas of interest include: 

• Orthognathic surgery for the correction of jaw size discrepancies, including management of sleep apnea
• Trauma surgery
• General dento-alveolar surgery – which includes: removal of wisdom teeth, placement of dental implants etc..
• Surgical management of oral pathological conditions – including jaw cysts and tumours with reconstruction as needed
